If you are thinking of helping then why not become a volunteer for the Trust?
Perhaps you can spare a few hours here and there to help with the running of the project. This does not have to be on a regular basis - we need people to help us at fund-raising events just as much.
All our workers are special. They are, without exception, all volunteers. That means we do our work for the love of it - for the benefit of all - and no money changes hands.
All overheads are kept to an absolute minimum and we work from donated offices and spaces. Through the kindness and generosity of our Trustees and staff we
want to maintain a high standard of charity where 99% - or more! - of your donations
actually reach the people we raise funds for.
This is guaranteed by the high ethics of our Trust where we ensure that we cut out the middle-man and avoid moneys being lost in a bureaucratic system.
All this is encouragement to those of you who are thinking of donating time to us. Your time is money to us and can be very valuable in terms of money for our projects.
Perhaps you have a particular skill that you feel you can share - maybe you are good at communicating, advertising, PR, have accounting /recording /web building /handicraft skills, retail experience, transport or storage space, or are simply a trustworthy, enthusiastic and reliable person! That's a skill, too!
However you can help - your support will be most welcome, and more importantly make a big difference to the people the trust is working to help.
