Sponsor a ChildOur sponsorship program offers Tibetan refugees hope for the future by supporting them in their education. The TCT can now offer individual sponsorship for selected children for as little as £10 per month - please help us and ask for a brochure by calling 01202 467734. We have the profiles of some of the children below.  Our Founder Lama Jamyang Lekshey with the girls in Ladakh needing sponsorship! Please help!We need more funds for a House in Ladakh for the girls and their foster mothers, 2 Nuns. They have been given free schooling in their local town. Their new house is being built with extra thick walls because there is no such thing as central heating! Until then, they need extra warm clothes, heating and food. Can you help by supporting these girls? Can you donate £10 a month to know they won’t be cold this winter? Originally, they were to travel back to Dehradun in the foothills of the Himalayas for the winter, but the trip would have been too long, arduous and costly for them all to travel home.  Sakya Kunga Shedup Ling Monastery School in Darjeeling is a non-profit, non-political school built in the grounds of a remote monastery helping rural children have food, water and education.
Your sponsorship will go towards keeping a child at the school where they not only learn subjects such as English, computer skills, science and mathematics but also learn to keep their traditional Tibetan Buddhist culture and values, helping to keep the Tibetan way of life alive in future generations. The school is dependent on our patronage, please do help if you can.
For all those sponsoring and donating and pay tax we can claim Gift Aid If you are a tax payer and are thinking of sponsoring and/or donating, our charity could claim an extra 25% with no added cost to you! The Inland Revenue will give the Tibet Culture Trust 25 pence for every £1.00 that you donate but this only applies to those people who currently pay tax in the UK. This extra 25% will cost you nothing and the claim for this benefit will be made by the charity. All you have to do is simply email us and fill out a short online form Thank you so much! |
