The Tibet Culture Trust is a registered Charity (UK Charity No. 1105227) established in 2003 with the aims of providing health care, education, social and economic support not only for people of Tibetan origin living in exile and in Tibet, especially children; but also all people of various cultures all over the world that are living in destitute conditions.
The TCT founder is the venerable Lama Jamyang Lekshey, who is well known in the UK for his teachings and lectures of Tibetan Buddhism and also his compassion, humour and understanding of the Western mind.
Lama Lekshey, born in Tibet, divides his time between his residence in India and the UK, traveling all over the world to meet with people from different cultures.
One of the first urgent projects of the TCT is to raise funds for the children and people of rural Asia who do not have clean running water, which creates illness and poor nutrition.
Also, there is desperate need for access to education in so many countries. Lama La would like to create facilities for all to have a chance to catch up with computer skills etc.
These objectives are to be achieved through means of fund-raising such as donations from Trust members, sponsors and our team of international volunteers helping with fund-raising. If you can find it in your heart to become a member or a volunteer of the TCT, please go to Participate.
